Tea Vue’s Brazilian Yerba Mate loose leaf tea is dried using an art that has been developed that preserves its natural flavor and protects its natural enzymes. Our Yerba Mate tea is fresh, free from smoke, and responsibly grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, preserving the environment where our Yerba Mate is grown. After picking, its leaves have been cut for drinking with a bomba (Portuguese) or bombilla (Spanish) — a type of drinking straw used to drink Yerba Mate. These straws contain a filter in the lower extreme to separate the mate infusion from the leaves.
Typically, Yerba Mate sold in the United States is aged for one to two years prior to packaging, according to cultural traditions from Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina. However, in Brazil, Yerba Mate is commonly preferred as fresh as possible. This style preserves its vital nutrients and fresh green taste.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
Add a teaspoon of Yerba Mate to 8 oz. (237 ml) of boiled pure water, steep for 3-4 minutes to taste.
