On those chilly afternoons when you need more than just a great cup of tea, a hot toddy might be the answer. There are many recipes for this time-tested beverage, so we thought we would share our take on how to make a hot toddy. We hope you love it. Cheers!
Ingredients
1 teaspoon of Organic Fuliang Black Loose Leaf Tea
1 1/2 ounces Maker’s Mark Bourbon
1 tablespoon honey
Boiling water
1 cinnamon stick
1 slice lemon
A pinch of nutmeg to taste
Directions
Step 1 – Find you favorite mug. You know which one.
Step 2 – Place one teaspoon of Organic Fuliang Black Loose Leaf Tea in a tea egg or loose-leaf tea strainer.
Step 3 – Place your cinnamon stick, honey, and the tea egg in the empty mug.
Step 4 – Fill your mug ¾ of the way with boiling water.
Step 5 – Squeeze in lemon juice.
Step 6 – Let stand 5 minutes.
Step 7 – Remove the tea leaves and cinnamon stick.
Step 8 – Add a shot of Maker’s Mark Bourbon.
Step 9 – Stir.
Step 10 – Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg and enjoy!
